7-128 Software announces the release of three new accessible Windows word games.

First is Sounds Like - in this game, you hear a word and the word is used in a sentence. You type in the correct spelling for the word. The words are all sound alike words - the sentence tells you which version of the word is expected.

Second is Spelling Bee - this game is like an old-fashioned spelling bee. You keep spelling words and gaining score until you miss a word - then it is game over. See how high a score you can achieve!

Third is Crossed Quotes - this game is a combination of our Scrambled Sayings game with a crossword puzzle. The smaller words are simply scrambled. The larger words in the quote have a clue similar to those in a crossword puzzle. The first letter of the clued words is always present to help you figure out what the word is. There are lots of quotes - from lots of different people!!

In addition, we have a new GameBook called Word Scholar. It is a baker's dozen word games - eleven of which are blind accessible. It includes the three games listed above.

Check it out at 7128.com

Spelling Bee sounds like fun. I remember competing in a spelling bee in junior high and enjoying myself immensely. I wonder if this game will pose some of the challenging words that appeared in my study book. There were many categories of words such as personality (adjectives and nouns to describe people), what's for lunch? (food-related words), medical terminology, etc. I shall definitely give this a looksee.

Not a big fan of word games, but I will check out the spelling bee one. Reminds me of the time I was a spelling bee champion.
